The Kansas City Chiefs officially signed one of their 2022 draft picks to a contract Friday afternoon, with many following after that.
Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis — the Chiefs took him with the 30th pick in last week’s NFL Draft — signed a four-year, fully guaranteed contract that was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Later Friday, the team announced it had signed six others from its draft class:
First-round defensive back Trent McDuffie
Second-round defensive back Bryan Cook
Fifth-round offensive lineman Darian Kinnard
Seventh-rounders Jaylen Watson (defensive back), Isiah Pacheco (running back) and Nazeeh Johnson (defensive back)
Second-round receiver Skyy Moore, third-round linebacker Leo Chenal and fourth-round cornerback Joshua Williams remain as the three Chiefs drafted players who have not yet signed.
