I generally don’t like trading up unless it’s for a QB although I like McDuffie. Veach’s record on trade-ups is not great. He traded up for Breeland Speaks, Mecole Hardman, Bopete Keyes (possibly others I’m not thinking of). I think the analytics people don’t like trading up because you are decreasing your chances of hitting on a player. The less picks you have, the less opportunities you have to hit on a later-round gem like Hill (fifth round), Kelce (third round) or Snead (fourth round I think).
