It's unfortunate that the Cardinals buckled on this, that 5th year option is there for a reason, to make sure the player you drafted can live up to the hype. Paying them early off limited success and no playoff wins is a foolish investment at best, and it'll likely end in Kyler getting the only payday he was never worth. Cardinals got suckered. Kyler throwing a temper tantrum is exactly the reason you don't give him the money, he's not mentally strong enough and will go cry to whoever will listen to him if he doesn't get his way. If this were a real job he'd be sitting in the basement with a red swingline stapler, thinking about burning the organization down, or he'd be fired by now.
