As I was working around the house this morning I noticed that my outside AC unit was running. My wife said she noticed it had been running constantly since switching over. This is not a heat pump unit so it should not be running when heat is on. Any suggestions on what would cause this?
Call the company you had put it in. You had it installed less than 2 mos. ago I can't see why they couldn't handle this free of charge.

In other words I wouldn't be sticking any screwdrivers in it any where myself.
