I’ve been using the example that you can’t shove a cafeteria worker at your office because he very innocently ran into you with a tub of food.

But the more relevant example is… you can’t shove a reporter who sticks a mic in their face. In some cases practically jabbing it in their face. Which is way worse because the reporter is intentionally provoking. Sports leagues are extremely protective of their media even when they can be way too aggressive. Even so much as yelling at reporters is going to cause trouble.

So what makes anyone think it’s acceptable for a kid whose clearly not trying to bother anyone… just trying to get his equipment from point A to point B. Why would the nfl not protect the equipment guy when they’ve done cartwheels to defend media members? I’d be shocked if the nfl didn’t take a strong stand and if they don’t, they’re hypocrites
