Based on the moneyline, Vegas thinks the Chiefs have about a 45.5% chance of winning (seems reasonable to me), which for all practical purposes is indistinguishable from a coin flip. I'm actually going to the game (for the first time in years) so I sure hope we get some Mahomes magic.
Acknowledging that the Bills have been the best team in the league so far (and probably last year as well) does not mean you've thrown in the towel.
