Reid is more interested in getting players fully healthy and having them ready to go for the second half of the season. If they win this game, great. But it’s not by any means a ‘must win’. Last weeks game (division opponent) was way more important.
From the Chiefs standpoint, I think the priority is win the AFC West first, then worry about the other stuff, but ultimately, do that and let the chips fall where they may.
We’re a seasoned post season team at this point. No sense in playing guys that might risk further injury for a regular season game that doesn’t really mean all that much in the grand scheme, except to fans, media talking heads and Monday morning ‘Power Rankings’.
