I guess the question is how much you value the 3 years of relatively cheap team control. Because we got a 1, 2, 4 and future 4 and 6 for Hill. So effectively a 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7. And honestly, you could almost wash out the two 4s and the 6 by using them as a proxy for the 3rd we included in the McDuffie trade up.
Hill's a better player than Moore. Realistically his contract will pay him about $93 million over the next 4 years (he won't see that final year at $43 million).
DJ Moore's contract will pay him $62 million over that same period but the Chiefs won't be on the hook for the signing bonus. So the Chiefs will get him over those 4 years for roughly $45 million.
So lets say you give up a 2nd and a future 1st (call it two seconds at that point).
The deal effectively becomes (setting aside some loose change):
DJ Moore
Trent McDuffie
$45 million in cap space over 3+ years
for
Tyreek Hill
2nd round pick
I mean....you make that deal, right?
I think when you put it in that sort of perspective, it does a really nice job of demonstrating why I favor getting Moore as much as I do. His contract is a MASSIVE value proposition. That 3/$45 million is what Haason Reddick just signed for so use him as a proxy.
Hill
2nd
for
Moore
McDuffie
Reddick
Demarcus Lawrence or even Charvarius Ward would be a viable entry as well.

This is probably because I'm trying to make lunch while responding to CP, but how do we have Tyreek Hill to trade? Did i miss something or is this just hypothetically if w had Reek?
