You can see from the GIF that the receiver had to slow up, which allowed the DB to break on the ball.
Even if you want to argue that isn't the case, throwing to a receiver that well covered was a dumb decision then.
And even if you won't accept THAT (you won't), it's still nowhere near as amazing of a throw as the Mahomes SB incompletion that hit his receiver right on the facemask.
