Yeah werner klemperer (klink) refused to play the part unless they promised him that klink would always fail. Ww2 was still fresh and I'm honestly surprised they were able to pull it off. Such a great show. Glad it was switched to ww2 as it was originally pitched as a show about prisoners that snuck out from regular prison to do good.
