He won't be near as effective if he waits to have post-season surgery that is for sure. I've had this tear and it is painful. Different grades of tears but maybe his is only a 1 or 2. Mine was a 3 and very painful. Even if it is just a 1 or 2 it will be in his head for sure and won't be near as aggressive I assure you. He is in his early thirties now and will be thinking twice about being aggressive.
