I think I understand what you are trying to say....but for the most part CPR hasn't changed in a while 30 compressions 2 breaths - repeat - so while he wasn't technically breathing his brain/body was still getting a fresh supply of blood/oxygen. It's not like they just keep compressing for 9 minutes without giving breaths.
