Honestly, the NFL is probably just rooting for the Pats to beat the Bills on Sunday--that makes everything moot. They can declare the Bills/Bengals game a tie and move on--KC will have earned the #1 seed by have a record (14-3) that neither Buffalo or Cincy could obtain by playing their game.

Correct. Buffalo would sew up the number one with two wins but all I am arguing is that the league has a big conundrum if for some reason either of these teams don’t get that 17th game played. I realize the Bengals only surpass the Chiefs if they lose to the Raiders and Cincy gets credited with two wins.
I just don’t trust this league and precedent however. Not having this game played throws a huge wrench into what will happen heading into the playoffs
