I've known people that have had heart attacks, had a bypass and yet still didn't change their eating/exercise habits. That is probably responsible for at least part of that 1:5 ratio you speak of.

I hope that is what it is and not a pre-existing/genetic thing that Hank Gathers and Reggie Lewis had. I assume that they run tests for those type of issues now for athletes, so I would think this is likely what happened.
