The potential options should have been known before the game even started, then communicate those options to both teams along with the consequences of their choices (continue the game tonight... or else continue in the next 48 hours... or else it's a forfeit/no contest/etc).
I've seen a comment about "being flexible like they did with Covid"... uh, this isn't anything like this. This is a relatively easy thing to prepare for years in advance and work through different scenarios in order to prepare for most of it (outside of maybe waiting to see if Hamlin is okay).
Changing the entire format of the playoffs at this point seems pretty damn ridiculous.

Zero excuse for not having a policy in place for this.
And for all the talk Cincy is getting hosed in all this, maybe just maybe they should have pushed harder to play the game this week rather than rolling over for Buffalo and letting them decide the course of action. Should have forced their hand so I dont feel bad for them.
