I don't think it is. We have room to pay 1 of them now (I think we CAN do both if need be but that'd be tough) so the question is really who? That goes back to my previous post.
I'll add that the draft is deep at LT it seems and some of them probably will pass protect better than OBJ does walking in the door. Defensive tackles that can pass rush are hard to find. Case in point the Jags just drafted one #1 overall last year and another Carter from UGA is likely going in the top 5 this year.
We have possibly the best DT in the league. If McVay retires, I imagine Donald will too, and then we will have the best DT in the league. Who wants to be here. Who, unlike OBJ isn't demanding top money for mid level play.
This choice is easy. Made easier by the fact that a team like the Steelers who run a lot and have a ton of cap space will probably be fine moving their 2nd for OBJ.
I know you wanna use the Reek example of quantity of over quality for Jones but that dog won't hunt. WRs are way easier to find than DTs like Chris Jones.
Pay the man and move on.
