Two players the Chargers could not afford to lose aside from Herbert:
1) Mike Williams
2) Derwin James
The loss of Williams is significant as it makes their vertical threat one dimensional. You can double or spy Allen all game long and that's all she wrote.
From a Chiefs perspective, this is the best possible news. A fully healthy Chargers offense would've been a problem.
