The Chiefs, Bengals, and Bills are all bad match ups, because they are playoff-seasoned teams with high octane offenses that destroy 'elite' defenses.
And the 49ers might be great... they might go toe to toe with the Chiefs and both teams might have to aim for 30+ for all we know. The Chiefs would probably have to play well, because of course they would in the Super Bowl.
But you also said the Chiefs would have to play "historically well in all 3 phases", which is just silly.

They just destroyed SEA by 24 before that garbage time TD, and they weren't even firing on all cylinders. Or to be more precise, they did that with their QB3 steering the boat.
Could we do that with Henne or Buckles at the wheel?
My point is, KC can't have a down/average game while that team has a good game, with their QB3.
KC will have to have a really good game vs. the team we just saw, or it won't be pretty.
