It was a bad player/scheme match.
Herbert was maximized by Steichen who is about to be a hot head coaching candidate.
Herbert needs a tools based guy who will minimize the thinking and maximize his arm talent.
The problem is all the coaches who do that are going to be head coaches soon. Daboll was an example with Allen.
