Yeah, it’s not perfect. But trying to run a bunch of scenarios about what teams might do seems way too subjective. You could argue the same that it doesn’t consider paying Justin Herbert or burrow likely getting his extension next year. I think PFFs is a good simple way that avoids a lot of assumptions about what teams might do. It’s not to say chiefs are in bad shape because they’re in the red. It’s mostly to talk about teams in the top and bottom 5 or ten who are either in great or terrible shape.
