For the record, I was in favor of the Tyreek trade and completely understood it. I just initially figured this team would take a step back as it retooled, and there was no shame in that whatsoever.
After the draft, I felt like we had a really solid group and grew more optimistic.
My concerns were always around a young secondary and a new offense.
The latter concerns disappeared in week 1. The former concerns were gone in week 2 when Watson’s INT flipped the field and game.
Mahomes though has been the most impressive part of it all. He had an uneven performance last year and I really figured with all new WRs it would take time to gel. The fact that he’s gonna be a runaway MVP winner in a few days is just so amazing. Easily his best season in my eyes.
