That being said...man he's done a nice job of it. He's essentially dealt Westbrook and a 1st in 2029 for:
Rui Hachimura (Bird rights)
Dlo (Bird)
Beasley (reasonable option year)
Vanderbilt (cheap year next season)
Mo Bamba (1 year left at $10 million; very reasonable for a younger big)
I mean there were some 2nds that came and went in all those deals. And Thomas Bryant/Patrick Beverly. But Beverly sucks and Bryant requested a trade.
That's some pretty nice maneuvering to add some genuine depth this season while also creating a path towards next season that isn't a complete cluster w/ the hopes that the mid-level and buyout candidates can save you.
It's a hell of a lot more of a plan than they appeared to have 72 hours ago.

It was some pretty nice work with the limited resources and not giving up anything useful for this year other than maybe Bryant who wanted out for more playing time. They are probably in too much of a hole in the standings and this all likely just turns out to be a new batch of fall guys for Lebron fanboys to blame.
