Roe Bartle, was an American businessman, philanthropist, executive, and professional public speaker who served two terms as mayor of Kansas City, Missouri. After Bartle helped lure the Dallas Texans American Football League team to Kansas City in 1962, owner Lamar Hunt renamed the franchise the Kansas City Chiefs after Bartle's nickname, The Chief.

I don't care if they change the name or not, but we should at least be honest. They are named after a fake Native American. Bartle was called Chief because of his ridiculous boy scout "chief" persona which included awful dress up costumes. Not a really good excuse.

Change it. Don't change it. Whatever. But we should start a new tradition because the chop isn't tradition, and it sucks. They could get someone to write a new song just for the games so we can do the we're gonna beat the hell out of you again. The stadium was awesome then. Imagine if we scored as many touchdowns as now!!!
