It feels like Veach/Andy are basically saying that we're going to roll with below-average DTs (except CJ or course) in 2023. Maybe we draft a guy (in the late rounds I guess), but we're not actively going to go after one, either in the draft or FA.
Not a bad strategy, considering that there's not that much reason for our defense to have the greatest run-stuffing D when we have the lead so often, and teams usually have to pass to keep/catch up.
Also bolsters the idea that Veach is indeed hunting for some real weapons for the offense.
