The Seahawks draft is....meh.
1.5: Will Anderson, OLB - Alabama: Just an easy pick. Best player on the board and should make an immediate impact
1.20: Devon Witherspoon, CB - Illinois: Probably the easiest pick of any of them I made. Getting the best CB in the draft at 20 is pretty damn nice.
2.37: Will McDonald, OLB - Iowa State: Provides a complementary pass-rusher to Anderson. Raw speed and athleticism and having those 2 to deal with long-term is going to create some MASSIVE problems for opposing offenses.
2.52: Joe Tippmann, C - Wisconsin: Seahawks need a C and Tippman is likely to be a pretty good one. Simple enough.
3.83: Tanner McKee, QB - Stanford: Kinda hate this pick. I wanted a QBOTF from this draft and frankly I'd do that every year for a team that doesn't have one. McKee was the last one I thought might develop into a starter but with Perry and Mimms still on the board, I should've gone that route. This pick really ****ed up the rest of my draft.
4.123: Jerrod Clark, DT - Coastal Carolina: Reeeeeaaaaach.
5.151: Kayshon Boutte, WR - LSU: A player I don't really like at a position I wanted to target but botched my 3rd rounder. The draft continues to go off the rails for Seattle.
5.154: Alex Forsyth, IOL - Oregon: Solid player but probably should've gone with Wanya Morris.
6.198: Keondre Coburn, DT - Texas: A welcome respite from my last 4 pretty shitty selections.
7.237: Ronnie Hickman, S - Ohio State: Just a poor man's Anthony Johnson Jr. This pick doesn't suck but it isn't exactly good either. It...exists.
I knew that McKee pick had a chance to screw my draft up when I made it and sure enough that's exactly what it did. Oh well. Here's hoping I didn't blow this one as badly as I mangled that Jets draft last season. It was a trainwreck.
