Context matters though. To accurately gauge this we need to look at degree of difficulty and separation. Hyatt had very few catches where he had to really work for it.
Again, same stance i've had on Hyatt for the last month now: It's not that i think Hyatt CAN'T do it. I just don't know for sure, because he never really had to. That's kind of the story of his collegiate career imo. A resume of kinda easy work.
His heralded game against 'bama. To me, that was much more an illustration of shitty safety play than "Wow, look at this receiver".
DB's getting caught flat footed while Hyatt has a full speed, free release right at them. Safeties being late to open their hips and turn. That's what
I saw. Others watch and go, "WOW. Look at Hyatt!". I go, "Jeez, what are these Safeties doing here? That's bad."
I don't hold it AGAINST Hyatt, but i have to take those plays with a grain of salt. I don't give him points for it either.
