Injury history of Chase Young -
Sep 27, 2020 - Inguinal Groin Strain Grade 2. Missed one game for his rookie season.
Nov 14, 2021 - Knee ACL Tear Grade 3. Missed 21 games in 2 seasons recovering from injury.
tredadda mentioned Jerick McKinnon and this is a good comparison because both players had a major ACL injury that takes a lot of time to recover from. Jerick missed his 2018 and 2019 seasons recovering from his ACL tear, grade 3.
Chase Young can still be a really good football player, but he is not a free agent and he is still being paid well as a 2020 1 (2) draft pick. His cap for Washington for 2023 is $10,997,509. They could save $5,323,219 with $5,674,290 of dead money in a trade.
A team trading for Chase with his current contract, would still have to pay $5,323,219 for 1 year of his service.
It is interesting to think about but considering KC would have to trade for him and still have to pay over $5M. Also, has he fully recovered?

Just $5million? For Chase? That's a steal and a half if he could stay healthy. Dude is a beast.
