Well, that's the problem with picking last, unless you decide to move up. All the guys you want are already taken. Not sure why anyone here is surprised that our positions of need are being filled by other teams with earlier picks.
I'm assuming Veach doesn't like any of these players enough to move up. Or maybe the price was too steep.
