Well yeah, we’re taking actions to save the house after it was set on fire. When you have to fill 5 WR slots with two of them being central positions, you’re gonna throw resources at it. But we are in this place because we deprioritized in the past. And if history holds true if we get to a place of “good enough” at WR will we deprioritize again until the next dam bursts.
I don’t think we should have deprioritized in the first place forcing us to play catch-up. And we can’t stop there. If these guys are anything short of WR1 or a very good WR2, we’ve gotta keep swinging. If the goal is to use 2nd and 3rd round picks you gotta take a lot of swings. Even when our room is set we should always be keeping a strong pipeline so we have options when second contracts come due. The question is, will we keep our foot on the gas?
