Makes me think he's more of a Kila Kaʻaihue/Calvin Pickering type.

Kila should have been a lot better than he turned out to be. I never realized how much plate discipline that dude had. He had a couple of back to back 100 BB seasons in AA/AAA. In 2008 he had 104 BBs to 64 Ks and then in 09 he had 102 BBs to 85 SOs. He had all kinds of power. Honestly he never got the playing time he probably should have deserved, because Dayton Moore was a ****ing dipshit. Here's what was holding him back.
2008 24 yr old 1.085 OPS - 32 year old Ross ****ing Gload who was OPSing .664
2009 25 year old .825 OPS - Dayton decides to trade Leo "that's not my name" Nunez for a yr of Mike Jacobs, who absolutely sucked shit OPSing .698. This trade was so ****ing dumb it's almost unbelievable.
2010 26 yr old finally gets his shot, OPS's .702 on the season, but over his last 27 games his 162 game pace was 35 HRs and 104 RBIs. During that last month he had an .878 OPS and it wasn't just luck, because his BABIP during that time was .295. He only got 47 starts that year, because once again Dayton was the stupidest mother****er running a team and just had to play 34 year old Jose Guillen instead of his young guys.
2011 - his time ran up, because Hosmer was in the bigs and Billy Butler was holding down DH. He got to play in 23 games that year.
That was his last year here. He should have been given more playing time, but Dayton was obsessed with shit stain vets. God I hate him so much. Kila gets way too much shit for things outside of his control. The one stretch that he was able to get continuous playing time he absolutely raked. Dude was probably what Vinnie is. Kila could have been a good player, but Dayton ruined that.
