Yes, and no. Polyps grow incredibly slow. (for the most part) To prevent them with diet you need to have been eating fiber consistently basically starting in your twenties. Of course that fact is based off the average, I am sure some people are genetically gifted, and they could start eating more fiber after their first coloscopy and somehow don't have polyps on their 2nd colonoscopy.
Southern Asian countries have the lowest polyp formation numbers. Their diets contain the most fiber.
