You're right - never thought of it like that before. If he could've been drafted by a guy like Reid and they'd have broken some of those bad habits he'd built towards the end at Mizzou, he could've been a really good long-term starter, IMO.

I was happy when Jax drafted him, because Garrard was a cromulent starter and Gabbert needed time to sit and learn. Then Del Rio slammed him into the lineup to save his own job, and he built upon bad habits with very little support.
