Has a contentious hold out and then realizes he screwed up but pride (hurt feelings, whatever) won't allow him to sign with his original team and he goes somewhere else for less money than he could have originally gotten with his original team.

We've seen it in KC and it's happened to other teams. Bell is the extreme example of hurting himself financially but there are less extreme examples of this.
