Different things Chiefs might do in creating their 2023 original 53-man roster.

1. Keep two (2) TEs with their original 53-man roster. Kelce and Gray for sure on roster and cutting Bell, Bushman, Blanton, and Gathings. None of these four have guaranteed money. Either Bell or Bushman could be re-signed after other moves are made.

2. Keep two (2) QBS in Mahomes and Gabbert with the idea that they could sign to Practice Squad either Buechele or Oladokun.

3. Keep eight (8) WRs. People have talked about the traditional 6 with the possibility of maybe going as high as 7 but they might go higher. Chiefs have MVS, Toney, Moore, Rice, James, Watson, Ross, and Ihmir Smith-Marsette has had a very good preseason. Maybe they keep 8 with Toney going on IR for 4 weeks after the 53-man roster is established.

4. Keep three (3) RBs. Pacheco, McKinnon, and Perine with Prince on Practice Squad and CEH traded or cut.

5. Keep 7 (7) CBs. Sneed, McDuffie, Williams, Watson, Jones, Boye-Doe, and Hailassie. If Sneed not ready to return, this move might be necessary.

Never considered the 2 TE's. but I think they could very well run 2 QB's but I'm almost certain Shane gets picked up by someone and I'm okay with that - I like Oladokun better. I'm all about cutting.trading CEH. I think they'll keep 6 CB's because of Sneed - I'd love to see 8 WR's but I'm almost positive Toney starts week 1.
