Jones has no leverage. He really should fire his agents (unless they have been telling him to take the deal and HE is the dumbass in this situation).
KC's leverage: "okay, go ahead and hold out until you MUST report, then we'll franchise tag your ass next season at 120% of that discounted rate". Then they can trade him... or keep him at a discount. Either way he lost out on big bucks.
