I don't mind him asking for a raise. It's the refusing to play under the deal he already signed that is starting to aggravate me. I can't imagine his teammates are pleased that he won't be available for games because he hasn't gotten what he wants. At this point, he's not gonna get what he wants from the team. Sack up, play under the deal you signed, and deal with the tag or free agency later. Holding out into the season won't do anything but hurt himself financially, as well as the overall team defense. Obviously, I'm more concerned with the team and winning games than Jones getting paid, but there's a nice medium and he seems content with being far to one side of the spectrum.
If most people who wanted a raise didn't show up for work they would just get fired.
