And even if it’s true there are teams that will pay him 30 per year they can’t be so dumb to not understand what’s going on. Those teams can’t pay that right now and at the same time the Chiefs should be under no obligation to match what others might pay because he is still under contract for a lot this year. Also, because they are offering a big deal for two seasons beyond this one which carries risk for the team but is also guaranteed money now that absolutely is worth a slight discount from 30 per year other teams “might” pay.
