Like it was happening weekly. But there wasn't/isn't a viable alternative for broadband in my area. Don't you just love the free market monopoly?
Having no competition, they didn't have much incentive to fix their shit. At&t nominally provided broadband, but it was worse.
When it did go down, the cellular phone network got overwhelmed with traffic and became completely useless.

Same issue with Sparklight... I even knew a couple who moved from a different part of town into the same neighborhood and said it went to shit. I was calling them 3 times/week at one point, even for small 5 minute outages, much less the half-day shit.
I went with TMobile Home Internet for a bit, but found out it was actually worse, and had to crawl back to Sparklight.
