I kind of see the point here and it does suck if it takes that long especially if it's not even close.
BUT, if your college program is expected to be good at the sport you are watching. It's highly frowned upon storming the field after a win. I remember at KU anytime we won a basketball game and if someone even suggested storming the court they'd get bitch slapped. Now football on the other hand, if they upset someone go right ahead and storm that field and tear down the goal posts lol. Except that one year they won the orange bowl.
