So, the Raiders saying they "hope" he gets the care he needs pisses me off.
I feel like every NFL team, and the NFL as well, have a responsibility to players to MAKE SURE the player in this, or a similar situation, get the proper help, no matter what that help actually is.
I get that a team just can't kidnap the player, but I don't really care. I feel like if the team needs to pay for 24hr supervision, then do it.
Whatever it takes to help players having a crisis like this is the minimum the team, and the league owe the players.
Maybe the league and NFLPA could come up with a protocol that requires players who receive a special designation to get treatment or face some league consequences.
I don't know the exact solution, but players who may have brain damage from multiple concussions need to be taken care of, and the Teams, and certainly the NFL, have the money to make it happen. And they need to make it happen.
But, the NFL is still ****ing up and leaving visibly concussed players in the game, and if they can't get pulling players correct, they would never get this type of care correct either.
