It's like I was saying with DBs - you're taught to slap at WRs in your pocket so long as you keep your hands below your chest from pretty much the moment they put pads on you in peewee.

Read the rule as strictly as possible and it's illegal contact. If you want the sport to, y'know, exist - it's not a penalty.

That's what OL are taught from the moment they get too fat to play DE anymore. Then get stuck on the OL in HS and are taught that if you keep your hands inside your shoulders, all bets are off. Especially if/when you keep your legs moving underneath you and keep your chest square to the defender.

NOBODY would expect that to be called a holding penalty and all this "it's clear as day holding" shit from the talking heads who know better is just nothing but sour grapes.

This is stuff we've known since time immemorial and now we're going to pretend like it's not obvious.
