The thought that the ref wouldn't have thrown the flag if the ball wasn't intercepted is ridiculous. Even if the ball isn't picked, it was still 3rd and 20 and now we have a very long FG to go up by 6, or leave the Jets with very good field position to tie the game.
If the ref was really set on helping the Chiefs, that flag gets thrown no matter what.
