Sure, but those aren't the only two years the chicken littles have shown up to tell us things like the defense still sucks (2019, 2020), the WR room sucks (2022, 2023), special teams sucks (2022), the offensive line sucks (2018-2022?), what if they play like they did that one week they lost to an underdog (2018-2022), point differential sucks (particularly 2020, but 2018-2023).
I think the vast majority of fans acknowledge the issues but are also well adjusted enough to acknowledge...

...no team is perfect and as you've stated before, Mahomes' contract is something this team has to deal with when it comes to having holes it may not be able to easily fill
...it's a long ass season and being worried about shit in September/October is pretty pointless as we've seen in past years.
It's not like I'm going to send a notarized letter to each chicken little acknowledging the offense isn't scoring 30+ points per game yet... it's not.
I also don’t particularly care. If it bites them in the ass in Jan/Feb, well, they'll probably do something to fix it for next season.
