Our defense is outstanding, but its lone weakness is defending the run. Teams just don't go into a game and say to themselves "we are going to lean
way in on the run against the Chiefs," because honestly, not many teams are built to do that.
The Broncos had no other option, so they tried it and it kinda worked. It worked enough, we can say that.
The Eagles offense can do that, however. They can put the ball on the ground and scrounge up, say, 24 points, and dare Mahomes and the offense to match when they're losing time of possession 2:1.
And I really, really don't think Hurts is a system QB. I think he's a top 5 talent.
I do agree with your assessment: if the Chiefs force them to get out of the run game, I still think the Eagles can get some success against us, but their odds to win drop dramatically.
