The new stadiums of the late 90s/00s were about adding more luxury suites and higher in game revenue streams within the stadium. Now that that revenue stream is maxed out, it's the entertainment around the stadium that is required for ownership to make more money and sell the team for a massive profit. They will threaten to move before they allow this not to happen.
