He turned his head away from Swift to try to find a ref to complain to, and thus missed the fact that Swift had to slow down to avoid Chamarri Conner, who was still actually trying to make a tackle. It was a hold, but it wasn't "massive". It was the kind that gets missed all the time.
Come to think of it, wasn't there an obvious hold by a Chief earlier this season that wasn't called, and the reason given afterward was that the DL "gave up pursuit"? Edwards certainly gave up pursuit.
