Never was crazy about drob but dude did have a specific role. He was actually really good at getting open in scramble drill. Catching the ball, not as much. But he was always open.
Mvs is a very different WR. He’s definitely a clear out option but it’s hard to be valuable when your number gets called a few times a game. I never understood why a clear out option had to be a boom bust guy. Of course a speed options bread and butter will be deep routes, but we can’t find a guy who’s fast and at least remotely effective with short/intermediate stuff too?
It’s been pointed out that Andy likes his WRs to wear many hats. In the future we need to have more guys with versatility versus having specialists who do only one thing well (even worse when they don’t do the one thing they were supposed to specialize in).
