I had a 5 month 1099 contract at 60K (5K per month) to set up all the sales tools, sales processes, sales files, marketing coordination and business development. October 1st the new contract kicked in - bonus for 2023 and increase for 2024.

The new contract is also 1099 but I have commissions, bonuses and stock as well. I cannot participate in the health care plan or 401K as a 1099 but I already have strong healthcare insurance.

I'll need to squirrel away a percentage of money for taxes.
