His one interception came in the 4th quarter when he was forcing throws to try to get the Bills back in the game. The Bills defense put the offense into a very big hole, allowing 31 points in the first three quarters and rarely making a stop. Allen was doing everything he could to will them back into the game.

That is the story of Allen’s career, quite frankly. He does enough to win, and the defense or coaching or a mixture of the two, let him down. Time after time, he has left the field with a lead, only to watch the game be taken away by poor coaching decisions and defensive meltdowns. Josh has always had a gunslinger mentality, but the continual letdowns of the team around him has turned him into a player that takes extreme risks, because he knows he must in order to win the game.

In addition, every casual fan talks about the turnovers, but they don’t mention that he has the second highest net TD’s of any player since entering the league. He is +94 and Mahomes is +97. Despite being on a team with a defensive head coach that continuously limits him, Allen is only 3 net TD’s behind Mahomes. I maintain that Allen is equal to Mahomes, and if he had been picked by the Chiefs, he would be seen as the far and away best player in the NFL. Mahomes is lucky to have developed under the tutelage of Andy Reid.

This is a great video by Greenberg. And it’s short. x.com/espngreeny/status/1733139011500114004?s=46
The guy doesn’t process nearly as fast as Mahomes. Which is why he makes so many numbskull mistakes.
