I was a union newspaper pressman back in NJ working nights and weekends printing the paper. It was my first career after HS graduation. 1981-1987 and another stint at the San Jose Mercury News from 1997-1998. I was making bank. $70k a year with all the overtime.

All my relatives were pressman too, about 14 of us.

These guys are working on the same press I worked on, a Goss Metroliner.
